Presents...

For Christmas Presents for my downlines, I decorated a 2009 Diary for each of them.
They were fairly simple, I decorated the front covers, using Stampin' Up! Rub-ons and then punched a Scallop Circle Punch (P142 $30.95) to hide the original logo (sorry, the photo's have too much shine on them) .
Then on the inside page, I covered the existing front page with Cardstock, punching the left hand side using the Spiral Punch (P142 $20.95).
Using the initial of their first name, I covered On Board Simon Chipboard Lower Letters (P140 $20.95) with Crystal Effects (P148 $11.95) and then I sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds (P148 $8.50) over the top and set these aside overnight to dry.
With the letter "H", once the glitter had dried, I then stamped the swirl from the "Priceless" stamp set (P105 $48.95) in Purely Pomegranate, you can sort of see this on the "H" if you look closely!!

Sale-A-Bration Samples

Card 1:
I used Tempting Turquoise for the base of the card, using Whisper White I ran this through my Cuttlebug, with my Spellbinders Nestabilites (which I have had for a while now but never seem to find the time to get it all out and use them).
I stamped the small flower image from the Eastern Blooms Stamp set (from current Summer Mini Page 8 $39.95) twice in Old Olive and once in Tempting Turquoise, then I added a little bling in the centre of each flower. I then stamped the Congratulations (Congrats set from the Sale-A-Bration) in basic black.
Card 2:
You will see with this card I CASED the basic design and style from the sample that is on the front on the Sale-A-Bration catalogue.
I used Apricot Appeal as the base, matted the Whisper White cardstock onto a piece of Lovely Lilac. Using "Polka Dot Punched" stamp set (P4) from Sale-A-Bration, I stamped all the images randomly onto the Whisper White card using Apricot Appeal, Lovely Lilac, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Cameo Coral. Using my Colour Coach, I looked up Apricot Appeal, and then I just used all the Coordinating and Complementary Colours.
I have also used the "Say It With Scallops" stamp set(Page 16 $31.95) and Scallop Punch (Page 17 $30.95) from the Summer Mini Catalogue, and I stamped this in Purely Pomegranate.
I punch 2 of the images from the "Polka Dot Punches" set with the Scallop Circle Punch (Page 142 $30.95)
I used Light Orchid Ribbon (which was from last years Catalogue)
Card 3:
This is one of my favourite cards! Simple and plain!
The base of the card is Whisper White, I punched 3 squares out of Elegant Eggplant cardstock using the 1 3/8" Square Punch (P142)
I stamped the flower images from the "Botanical Bloom" stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration (Page 2) onto Whisper White using Elegant Eggplant ink, (this is a 2 Step Stampin' Set) then I punched out all 3 flower images using the 1 1/4" Square Punch (P142).
When I attached the white squares, I slightly turned them so that there was quite a bit of Elegant Eggplant showing.
I stamped Congratulations from "Congrats"stamp set from Sale-A-Bration (P6) in Elegant Eggplant ink.

12x12 Photo Frame

For my Mum's 60th back in July, I arranged for a Family Portrait, as it was rare that us 4 kids were in the same place at the same time!

I had brought a few of these 12x12 Photo Frames from Lincraft for only $9.95, they come in either black or white.

The base of the layout is a 12x12 piece of Taken with Teal, I have double matted the 8x10 photo on Rose Red and then onto Regal Rose. Using the Eastern Blooms Stamp Set from the Summer Mini (Page 8, $39.95), I stamped the cherry blossom image in Whisper White Ink. The pink flowers are cut out from a sheet from the Bali Breeze Designer Series Paper, some are glued directly down and others a raised using Stampin' Dimensionals. I then finished the layout with a few rub-ons from the Cherished Memories set (Page 141, $19.95).
Anthony thought the layout looked a little too girly as he pointed out there is a male in the photo!

More Samples...

Base of this card is Whisper White, I have used the Bali Breeze Designer Series Paper and matted this onto Pumpkin Pie and Taken with Teal Cardstock. I have used the new Scallop Edge punch along the bottom of the Taken with Teal card, so that the Pumpkin Pie cardstock shows along the base. Again I have stamped the flower image in Stazon Ink and coloured this in with the Aqua painter and Pumpkin Pie Ink.
Stamp Set:Embrace Life
This card was cased from Andrea Walford, again base of this card is Whisper White Cardstock, I have used Bali Breeze Designer Series Paper, matted this onto Certainly Celery and Taken with Teal Cardstock, I have covered the join with Purely Pomegranate Double Stitched Ribbon. I then matted the smaller Whisper White cardstock onto Old Olive Cardstock.
Stamp Sets: Embrace Life and Easrern Blooms.
Base of this card is River Rock, I have used Groovy Guava, and Basic Black Cardstock and Ginger Blossoms Designer Series Paper. I have finished this with Groovy Guava Double Stitched Ribbon.
Stamp Set: Embrace Life
And finally, base of this card is river Rock, again I have used Ginger Blossom Designer Series Paper matted on Basic Black cardstock and teamed with Groovy Guava cardstock. I finished with Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Stamp Set: Embrace Life

Christmas Market Day

Recently I was asked to be involved in a Christmas Market Day. This was run by Tina from the Natural Beauty Retreat (who organised the Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser a few months ago) http://www.thenaturalbeautyretreat.aquawebsites.com/page/32774/default.asp

I had my display table set up with my Stampin' Up! products and then I ran 2 set classes for both Adults and Kids (2 classes for each with max of 6 in each). The day was a huge success and all who attended the classes loved the end product.

The first photo is of the cards in which the Adults made on the day-they made 4 Christmas Cards with matching envelopes (some designs were cased from different blogs, I apologise that I cannot remember which exact ones!)

The second photo is of the Kids Class-they all got to make a 9x9x9 Photo Cube, Mini Cards, Candy Cane tag, and Gift Tags.

And finally my display table on the day! (it looks messy underneath, but these were all the classes bagged and ready to be given to each guest)

Cards...

Here are a few cards and things I have made recently... they are a mix of items made from Hostess stamp sets, Spring Mini Catalogue items and Current Catalogue items.
I know I keep saying this but I really must try and keep my blog updated!!
I will try.. I promise!!

Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser

On Saturday the 18th October I was asked to be involved with a Breast Cancer Awareness Morning Tea Fundraiser which was held at Dulong near Maleny here on the Sunshine Coast.
The lady who organised the whole event was Tina Rossiter who runs The Natural Beauty Retreat. The event/morning tea was held on her property, and all the other stall holders were other home based/direct selling businesses from around the local area, the morning tea was $5 per person, I think Tina ended up with about 80 guests, mostly ladies!

Tina was putting together sample bags for everyone who attended on the day, so if you wanted to add anything about your business you had the chance. I made little matchbook holders in pink, when you opened it, I put a few lollies inside and put my details!

The were fantastic raffles which were also donated by local business and all proceeds were donated to Breast Cancer Awareness.
As this was the first time I had been involved with a fundraiser, I was unsure how things worked, but I thought I would see if Stampin' Up! would donate a few products for a great cause, so I was blown away when I arrived home one afternoon to find a HUGE box on my door step, when I opened it I was amazed at how much stock they had donated. I packaged them all up, I think in the end I ended up donating about 8 raffles. The first photo above is of all the raffles donated by Stampin' Up!

The second photo is of a bouquet of flowers I had made especailly for my stall to make it pretty, and this was down by iblossom. It was stunning and quite a few people commented on it also.

It was a fantastic organised event thanks to Tina and everyone had a lovely day!

Mum's 60th Birthday Invites

Next month is my Mum's 60th. These are the invitations I made for her party.
Using Wisper White Card, Almost Amethyst Card Stock, Almost Amethyst Ink, So Swirly Jumbo Wheel, Scallop Punch and Organza Ribbon (retired from last year's catalogue), the silver "Coralie's 60th" is a sticker which I got made from a company called Peppermint Products (from Melbourne).
On the inside of the invitation, my sister Angela did the photo of mum (when she was a teenager), I printed this onto vellum and then attached with small silver Heart brads.
For her birthday cake I am doing cupcakes, so at the moment I am trying out receipes and different types of frostings, this is one I made today, the pink frosting is way too bright and flavoured with raspberry! I am going to do a lilac frosting to match the invites, with lilac candied flowers on the day.

Wild Weather in Queensland

As most of you are aware the weather here in Queensland has been pretty bad lately, we've had rain nearly everyday since Christmas Eve.

On Sunday afternoon, we went over to Coolum to check out the beach! It was blowing a gale, raining and rough.

Here are a few photos from the point at Coolum, even though the weather was crappy and the beaches are closed there were still heaps of people out walking and checking out the beach!!
