Project Life: Weeks 12 - 16

So, it's been over a month since I last added a post, gee time really does seem to get away from you, especially at this time of the year!

We've had a few busy weeks recently, we had family visiting from Melbourne and I recently returned to work - even though I am only doing 4 days on and 4 days off, there seems that there is something always to do!!

Anyway, I have been plodding along trying to get up to date with my Project Life, and honestly I'm not doing too bad, sure I have a few gaps here and there but photos are nearly up to date.

Here are my Weeks 12 - 16
Terrible weather here on the Sunshine Coast with some bizarre major flash flooding around the Coast, including Sixth Avenue, where my little shop used to be! (Scary Stuff!)

These photos on the right hand side are at my back door into the shop, it was scary watching the water creeping closer and closer. Lucky for me the rain eventually started to ease and never quite made it through the door!!

The view from the front door of my shop onto Sixth Avenue Maroochydore.

The photos on the left hand side of this layout are from the internet of some of the other flooding around the Coast.

Week 13.
My Birthday on the 26th March - lots of presents and flowers and out to dinner with friends.

Week 14 - Easter
Good Friday was spent down the Gold Coast and then home for the rest of the long weekend!
Lots of yummy, naughty food!

Week 15

Week 16
Last week of Trading as a Retail Shop...
very busy with closing down, final classes and then packing it all up and moving it home!
Getting it all out was the easy bit, find room at home is a whole new story!

Thanks Jules xx

Project Life : Week Seven - Week Eleven

Back again to share another lot of Project Life Updates from the beginning of the year!
I'm slowly getting through the weeks!
Like I said last week, all the photos are up to date, just filling in the gaps!

So this week I have Weeks 7 through to Weeks 11 completed!

 Week 7

Lots of photos during this week as we went to a Wedding on the weekend, so I have included heaps of photos from that (and a beautiful wedding it was!)
 Week 8
A very eventful week this was - Anthony broke his wrist when he sell through the ceiling at work! Ouch, but what was the CFO doing in the roof!!!???

 Week 9
Another busy week with lots of photos - Anthony had a lunch on board the Queen Elizabeth in Brisbane!
They were shown around the boat and were able to take some photos, not the greatest, but the best he could do as he was doing it one handed!!
He even managed to keep me his ticket and the Menu and he also got me a brochure!
(got him well trained!) ha ha

Week 10
Week 11

I'll be back agin next week (hopfully) to share some more weeks!

Thanks... Jules x

New Project Life Storage Stand...

 I hope you're having a great week!

Just wanted to show you some photos of my new Storage Stand that I got made by Colcraft to house all my Project Life bits and pieces in.

Originally it was designed by Jane (a lady on the Project Life Australia Group) but her original design is twice the size.

She designed it so that it can fit 12x12 papers and products in the back section and other goodies suitable for Project Life in the other sections. Plus draws for storage!

I do love the large one but not really sure if I have the room for it!

When I ordered mine, I asked if I could have one half the size and this is what he made for me!

A view from the top, so you can see the depth inside of the sections.

I need to add a handle onto the draw but I wanted to use one that matched the rest of the furniture in my craft room.

Side view

My new storage stand all nice and full with all my Project Life goodies, all within arms length!

I have put all my alphabet and stickers in the back section.
6x4 Cards are in the middle section and
3x4 cards are in the front!
I have put my stamps that I use for Project Life into the little draw so I don't have to go searching for them now.

As you can see it fits perectly on my shelf and I love that it matches the rest of my white furniture in my craft room (see earlier post of Craft Room)

Project Life: Week One - Week Six

So I have been very, very slack in updating my Project Life Album 2012 on my blog, but not slack in actually keeping up with it.
See that's the beauty of Project Life, once you get on a roll you can easily get caught up!

I am up to week 41 in photos, but my titles and journaling, not so good!

Anyway, I thought I would start shaing some of my completed weeks here on my blog for anyone that is interested!

This year has been crazy busy, but each year seems to be crazier and busier!

Not sure how the photos will turn out as I find it quite hard to take photos of the double pages!!

So week 1and 2 in January was really busy, my sister decided last minute to come down from Darwin for the week and of course this resulted in lots of catch up with family and freinds for her, and busy for me as she was staying with us!
Lots and lots of photos!

Week Two

Week Three

 Week Four

Week Five
(not sure why these have rotated themselves)

Week Six

So as you can see most weeks so far are loaded with lots of photos.
Again for 2012. I have chosen to do my album weekly and also I've tried to keep to the Project Life Album in the simplified style!!

Thanks...Jules x

I mentioned the other day about a new Kit that I have over at the Creations in Paper website.

Below is the October Kit which is using gorgeous products from the October Afteroon Woodland Park Collection - lots of colours in this kit and could be suited to any style at all!

now available for order on the Creations in Paper Website
These cute kits are full of coordinating products suitable for any Project!
Includes Papers, washi tape, stickers and heaps of embellishments.

I just wanted to show you what I made using the October Creative Embellishment Kit.

I made a total of 16 card fillers for my Album.

 10 - 6x4 cards

6 - 3x4 cards

I used most of the product from the Kit but I did add a few extra's -
paper doily, shipping tags, some grid paper, 3x4 cards from my PL kits, stamps and inks
(but everything extra was from home) and I had lots of left overs also.

Thanks...Jules x

Another Craft Room Tidy Up ...

What started out as a bit of a tidy up turned into a major overhaul!

Last week I decided to have a bit of a tidy up in my craft room, as I had so much stuff that I had saved over the years. Folders and folders of class instructions, ideas, old Stampin' Up documents and card shares.
I'm talking 12 ring folders and about 10 display folders worth of paper and stuff that just hasn't been opened in about 4 years and boxes in the cupboard.

It all went, piles and piles of paper. I filled the recycling wheelie bin - felt good though!

So after the clean out I had a few gaps that I needed to fill.

I am so happy with the layout of my craft room now.

Everything has a home and is within reach and the best part is I know where all my Project Life stuff is and it can quickly be accessed when I need.

love my desk that we made out of a old door, sanded back and stained.

Now, I'm just waiting on a new stand that will house all my Project Life 3x4 and 6x4 cards toghter and I'm all sorted.
Nothing like a clean craft room - feel so motivated and inspired to create!
(wonder how long that will last!! ha)

Thanks...Jules x

Tags

I just wanted to share with you these cute tags I made for my Project Life Album.

They were all made using left overs and scraps that I have been saving. On some of them I've added a bit of sewing.

A few weeks ago Michelle Wooderson posted on her blog, these super cute tags that she made for her Project Life album and so I was inspired to make my own!

Thanks...Jules x

Project Life Storage and Organisation

One of the topics that we got talking about a few weeks ago on this new FB Group I am apart of to do with Project Life was how do you store your products for Project Life?

I must admit that I did have all my Project Life stuff seperate but it was in the cupboard in a few 12x12 Magazine Holders, so not out where I was reminded to actually do and use it!

All the black holders are all my Project Life stuff, along with my Albums for 2012
(I have a spare album ready to go incase the first one gets as full as 2011)

Anyway, there were heaps of ideas that people were showing what they used to store or stash their PL stuff in and of course where they got them from here in Australia.

My biggest storage inspitation comes from Michelle Wooderson, she just has the coolest ideas and I love her style in both Card Making and Project Life!
(I so want to be like her when I grow up!)

Anyway, here is the rest of my storage and organisation for my Project Life (at the moment) to keep me motivated for the rest of 2012!

This cute little draw below is from TYPO, they also came in a pink, but I loved the natural look, but this was the last one in stock, it is just the perfect size for the 3x4 cards to sit in.

I've had this set of drawers for a few years now and I have always stored bits and pieces in it, but I cleaned it out the other day and I have moved all my smaller embellishements and things for PL into it so it is all in the one place now, plus it is easy to pull out the drawers and take them to my desk.

There are still a few things that I really want but cannot seem to find at the moment, but will certainly be keeping an eye out for them or something similar!

So, how do you store your Project Life stuff?

thanks...Jules x
